New in the store: Advatek PixLite — plus DMX Core & DMXking updates

We've got a big addition to the store this time around, along with some updates on two lines you already know well. The headline: we're now carrying the full Advatek PixLite pixel controller range. Let's get into it.

New: Advatek PixLite pixel controllers

If you do pixel work — LED strips, nodes, panels, architectural or themed installs — you've probably heard of Advatek. Their PixLite controllers are some of the most trusted pixel drivers in the business, and we now carry the full Mk3 lineup plus receivers and mounting kits — shipped direct from Advatek's US-based warehouse.

Here's the range:

• PixLite E4-S Mk3 — 4-output Ethernet pixel controller. from $449
• PixLite A4-S Mk3 — compact 4-output board for tighter installs. from $649
• PixLite E16-S Mk3 — 16-output Ethernet controller for larger pixel counts. from $1,099
• PixLite T8-S Mk3 — 8 outputs with terminal connections for permanent wiring. from $1,150
• PixLite T16X-S Mk3 — our top of the range: 16 outputs, expandable. from $1,249

Need to push data over long cable runs? The receiver range takes differential data from the controller and drives pixels remotely — R1F-S (from $99), R2F-S (from $149), and R4D-S (from $175) — plus DIN rail, flat-surface, and 19" rack mounting kits from $19.

All of them output Art-Net and sACN and support a huge range of pixel chipsets, with per-output configuration and live status monitoring.

One more reason we're excited about this: the DMX Core 100 now has native Advatek integration — it auto-discovers your PixLite controllers, sets up Art-Net/sACN output in one click, and monitors board temperature, voltage, and per-output current live. If you run both, they just work together.

DMX Core 100 — a LOT has changed

Last time I wrote, the big news was that DMX Core 100 had gone software (Windows, macOS, Linux). Since then the feature set has exploded — if you haven't looked in a few months, it's almost a different product:

• Direct fixture control — Import fixture profiles (Lightkey, Daslight, and now GDTF), organize into zones, and control color, dimmer, and position right from the Web UI. It's now a full primary controller, not just record-and-playback.
• Built-in effects, including audio-reactive — Breathing, Chaser, Fire, Lightning, and more, assignable at any level, plus new effects that respond to live sound.
• JavaScript automation — Write scripts to play cues, set colors, and publish OSC/MQTT, with a built-in editor and a safe sandbox. Great for custom install logic.
• Up to 800 universes — A major performance jump (up from 100), so it scales to the largest installs.
• Cloud Tunnel — Secure remote access to the Web UI from anywhere, no VPN or port forwarding, with fleet management at portal.dmxcore.com.

DMXking MAX — firmware v4.12 (finally, Mac firmware updates!)

The DMXking MAX lineup stays our bread and butter, and there's a release that Mac users especially will be glad to see. With firmware v4.12 and the updated macOS Configuration Utility (v2.7), you can now update device firmware directly from your Mac — over the network or USB. No more borrowing a Windows machine just to flash a node. It's been a long-standing gap, and it's great to have it closed.

If you're due for an update, grab the latest macOS utility from DMXking, connect over network or USB, and you're set. (The Windows utility is still there for advanced diagnostics and dimming-map editing.)

And of course we keep the whole MAX range in stock and shipping same-day — from a single-universe eDMX1 MAX ($259) up to the 8-port eDMX8 MAX (from $699), plus pixel control with the LeDMX2 / LeDMX4 MAX (from $259) and the pocket-sized UltraDMX MAX USB adapter ($119).
