What's new at DMX Pro Sales

Hey there! Quick update from DMX Pro Sales

It's been a minute since our last newsletter, so I wanted to check in with a few updates on what's been happening over here.

A note on pricing

I'll get the less-fun stuff out of the way first. As some of you may have noticed, we recently had to adjust our prices. DMXking raised their prices for the first time in three years, and the tariff situation with New Zealand hasn't helped either (now sitting at 15%). We held off on passing that along for as long as possible, but ultimately had to make some adjustments. I know nobody likes price increases, so I appreciate your understanding. The good news is the product quality continues to be top-notch, and these are still some of the best values in professional DMX control.

DMX Core 100

DMX Core 100 — Now available as software!

Big news first: the DMX Core 100 is no longer limited to our wall-mount hardware. It's now available as a software version that runs on your own hardware — Windows, macOS, and Linux are all supported. Same powerful feature set, running on the platform of your choice. This is a game-changer for anyone who wants DMX Core's capabilities without adding dedicated hardware to their setup. Download it and try it out →

If you haven't checked in on the DMX Core 100 lately, the feature set has grown a lot. Here are some recent highlights:

  • Timeline editor — A full timeline editor for building and editing complex shows visually.
  • Stream Deck support — Trigger cues, pan, mute, and configure custom actions right from your Elgato Stream Deck.
  • Mobile-friendly Web UI — The web interface is now fully responsive and works great on tablets and phones for on-site adjustments.
  • Expanded triggers — Control via HTTP, OSC, UDP, TCP, MQTT, DMX input, and more. Great for integration with home automation and AV systems.
  • Audio sync — Synchronized audio playback with lighting cues, plus FLAC support and audio delay control.
  • Cloud backup & restore — Back up your configuration to the cloud. Great for multi-site installs or peace of mind.

The DMX Core 100 supports up to 100 universes at 40 Hz, with ArtNet/sACN/KiNet protocols, scheduled playback, multi-user access, and custom branding for installers. Whether it's a themed environment, architectural installation, or live production — it's built for it.

DMXking eDMX1 MAX

DMXking MAX series — New firmware v4.11

The DMXking MAX lineup continues to be our bread and butter, and for good reason. The latest firmware release, v4.11, brings several improvements across the range:

  • Per-channel Dimming Maps & Master Level control — You can now configure how each DMX channel on every port behaves during transitions. Assign channels as dimmer (HTP or linear), PTZ/effect, or skip — so intensity channels fade smoothly while pan/tilt and effects channels cut cleanly. This makes Master Level dimming actually practical on ports with complex fixtures like moving heads.
  • Show stream fade/crossfade — Recorded show playback now supports proper fade-in, fade-out, and crossfade transitions between shows, with the Dimming Map controlling per-channel behavior. No more abrupt jumps when switching between recorded scenes — and priority takeover crossfades work correctly too.
  • UCS7604 and UCS7804 pixel support — The LeDMX2 MAX and LeDMX4 MAX now support these pixel chipsets, expanding compatibility for LED pixel installations.

Other recent firmware highlights include RDM support (v4.6+), sACN Universe Discovery (v4.10), USB-based configuration (v4.3+) so you can set up nodes without a network connection, and Reset to Defaults options (v4.9+) for quick resets in the field.

Whether you need a single-universe node like the eDMX1 MAX ($259), a full 8-port beast like the eDMX8 MAX (from $699), or pixel control with the LeDMX4 MAX ($389), we keep them all in stock and ship same-day from our warehouse in Van Nuys, CA.
